About Johnson Aviation

Johnson Aviation is a full service FBO located in Tyler at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport (KTYR). We are a family owned business with a friendly staff that takes great pride in providing first class services for the commercial and general aviation industry. We offer Flight Instruction, Airplane Rental, Aircraft Services, and just about everything private or commercial pilots need. Johnson Aviation was founded in 1959 by Garner Johnson, and now managed by his sons Rex and Rodney.

Rex Johnson

Rex is Co-owner, President of Johnson Aviation and is an aircraft mechanic currently holding SEL, MEL, A&P and IA ratings. He has been with the company since 1974.

Rodney Johnson

Rodney is Co-Owner, Vice President of Johnson Aviation and is an aircraft mechanic. He has been with the company since 1985.

Julie Johnson

Julie is the Bookkeeper at Johnson Aviation and has been with the company since 2003.
